# Custom apps settings in Team

## Enable custom Apps

This tab in Team[^1] settings is where you can turn custom Apps on and off. Timebook custom Apps are personalized modules you can build by selecting your preferred item types. You can also choose specific[ item containers](#user-content-fn-2)[^2] and define the hierarchy of items inside your App.

When you build a custom App in the dedicated section of the [Workplace Admin](#user-content-fn-3)[^3], you make it available to the [entire Workplace](#user-content-fn-4)[^4]. But it must then be enabled in selected Teams. When you enable a custom App in a Team, it will show as a new tab in the Team's structure.

4. The selected Apps now show as tabs in the Team's structure.

Further enhancements to custom Apps are available in this tab.

Press the \[**See details**] button next to a custom App to view its properties. You can now manage the App's statuses, containers, or automation features (if they are enabled in the App).

You can manage these features in the same way you manage your work settings. For more information, see **WORK SETTINGS IN TEAM**
