Potential game-changers

Integrate Timebook with Slack

You can now integrate Timebook with Slack using the dedicated section of the Workplace Admin.

Why does it matter? By connecting the two apps, you gain access to the additional features listed below. To enable integration, go to [Workplace Admin], open the [Integrations] tab, and provide a valid [Slack workspace URL]. Then press the [Add Timebook to Slack] button, follow the on-screen instructions, and your Timebook companion app will be added to the Slack workspace you selected.

You can now push notifications from Timebook to Slack.

Why does it matter? If your Timebook Workplace is integrated with Slack (see above), you can now receive Timebook notifications directly in Slack. To enable this, go to your [Preferences] in Timebook, open the [Integrations] tab, and set the [Enable Slack integration] toggle to on. From now on, you will see all Timebook notifications also in our companion app in Slack.

We can turn messages from an integrated Slack channel into Tickets and send them to your Timebook Inbox.

Why does it matter? Another benefit of Slack integration is that you can feed your Timebook Inbox with messages from a selected Slack channel. To do it, go to Team settings, open the [Inbox] tab, choose [Slack], and use the dropdown to select one channel from the integrated Slack workspace. From now on, you will see one Ticket created in your Inbox for each message sent to the selected channel.

You can now link Initiatives to Goals and their key results.

Why does it matter? This feature boosts the Initiative drawer by allowing you to link Goals and key results directly from it. Open the drawer in one of your Initiatives, use the dedicated [Linked Goals] section, and choose the Goals/key results you want to link. You can select from both Team and Workplace Goals.

You can now use the [Key results] section of a Goal card to link Initiatives.

Why does it matter? The linking of Goals to Initiatives can also be initiated from the key result side. To do so, use the [Link Initiative] button on your key result. You can also edit the properties of linked Initiatives in this view.

The item cards in the Tree layout received a new design.

Why does it matter? The cards now look more compact and present slightly less information, resulting in a cleaner overall look. Also, when working with Goals in the Tree layout, you will see the key result section on the cards.

We improved the sign-up process for new users registering with a non-Gmail address.

Why does it matter? As a non-Gmail user, you can now enter your email address directly on the first sign-up screen and proceed to the verification step immediately. This reduces the number of clicks to the necessary minimum.

This section lists the bugs we resolved in the latest release. These fixes should improve Timebook's performance and give you a more stable experience.

Bug
Fix description

"Show more" displays incorrect number of items

When using your Calendar in the [Monthly] view, the "Show more" button now displays the correct number of events for specific days.

Images not loading in Work Items' descriptions

Images added to the Work Item's description field now load correctly and display as intended.

Sprints with automatic bookmarking crashing in the Bookmarks module

The [Bookmarks] module now displays the automatically bookmarked Sprints without crashing and showing the "Ooops" screen.

Showing Teams that you have no access to

The backend filters now work correctly and return only the Teams that you have permission to view.

Uploaded Google Drive files not working in comments and updates

Uploading Google Drive files to comments and updates now works correctly, allowing you to attach and share files without issues.

Document links pasted into the description field are not converted into a widget

An interactive widget is now created when you paste a Timebook Document link into the description field of a Work Item.

We want your experience to shape the future of Timebook, so we are looking forward to hearing your feedback.

You can send us your ideas or report issues using the dedicated feature in Timebook. Open the [Help and Support] section at the bottom of the Navigator and select [Feedback]. Fill out and submit the resulting form, and we'll take care of the rest.

Thank you for your time.
