In this release, we’ve made Key Results more flexible—with support for non-integer and negative targets, improved progress tracking for decrease-type goals, and clearer styling to distinguish them from Goals. First-time users now see a more personalized “Learn the basics” section, while Projects in Metrics show progress even after the planned end date. You can also delete Projects directly from the card, reassign sub-items from the parent view, and copy sub-item links or IDs in a click.

New features

These are the latest additions to Timebook. Explore them to stay updated and make the most of Timebook.

Potential game-changers

Smarter Key Results for all your Goals

Key Results now support non-integer and negative values, and we’ve improved progress tracking for Goals where you aim to decrease a metric rather than increase it.

Why does it matter? You’re no longer stuck with only positive, whole-number targets. Whether you're aiming to reduce churn or cut cycle time, you can now set more realistic goals and track them accurately, without hacking the system. And with the updated styling, it's easier to visually scan and understand the relationship between a Goal and its Key Results.

The “Learn the basics” section now adjusts its greeting depending on whether someone is visiting it for the first time or coming back. It also features clearer microcopy and improved visual design of the tiles.

Why does it matter? We’ve redesigned the tutorial section to better support all users—whether it’s your first visit or you’re coming back for a refresher. Clearer messages and improved visuals make it easier to understand what each tile offers and what quick wins you can expect.

In the Metrics section, Projects now show progress across their entire timeline—even beyond the scheduled end date, up to the date of the last activity.

Why does it matter? You’ll now see the full span of a Project’s timeline, even if work continued past the original deadline. A vertical line still marks the planned end date, helping you spot delays and understand where progress picked up or stalled after the schedule slipped.

You can now delete a Project directly from its card using the 3-dots menu.

Why does it matter? It’s a simple quality-of-life improvement: no need to navigate elsewhere to get rid of outdated or test Projects.

Sub-items now let you copy their link or ID straight from the 3-dots menu. You can also reassign a sub-item directly from the section where it appears on its parent card.

Why does it matter? These small tweaks make it easier to manage sub-items in context, without breaking your flow. Whether you’re sharing links or adjusting ownership, it now takes fewer clicks.

We’ve refreshed the expired invitation link modal with more helpful and understandable language.

Why does it matter? A little clarity goes a long way. If someone clicks an outdated invite, they’ll now know exactly what’s wrong—and what to do next.

This section lists the bugs we resolved in the latest release. These fixes should improve Timebook's performance and give you a more stable experience.

Bug
Fix description

Metrics in Projects don’t count Work Items correctly

All Work Items within a Project are now correctly calculated in the Metrics section.

Comment-related notifications don’t open the comment

Clicking on a notification that links to a comment now takes you directly to the relevant item, with the Comment hub opened.

Grouping doesn’t refresh after changing an item’s status

When you change the status of an item in a list, it now moves immediately to the correct status group.

Incorrect tab colors in the Electron app

This visual glitch is now fixed, making the desktop app easier on the eyes.

Tooltips missing when using cover images on Documents

All icons in the top-right corner of a Document now display tooltips correctly, regardless of whether a cover image is present.

We want your experience to shape the future of Timebook, so we are looking forward to hearing your feedback.

You can send us your ideas or report issues using the dedicated feature in Timebook. Open the [Help and Support] section at the bottom of the Navigator and select [Feedback]. Fill out and submit the resulting form, and we'll take care of the rest.
