New features

Here, you'll find detailed information about the latest additions to Timebook. Explore them, stay updated, and make the most of Timebook.

Potential game-changers

Enhanced Story Maps and Releases

We redesigned the Story Map Layout to improve the management of Epics.

Why does it matter? The Story Map layout is now ready to handle the planning and tracking of larger items (and their sub-items) as you create Epics and move their Work Items across different Releases. This, paired with an effective drag-and-drop mechanism, allows you to build complex Story Maps with little effort. On top of that, our Work Items received the [Release] property for easier linking.

You can now download Timebook's desktop app for Windows.

Why does it matter? This enhancement gives you more freedom in using Timebook. You can choose between the browser version and installing the Electron app, which is now available for both Mac and Windows users. You can download the Electron app directly in Timebook using the dedicated button in the bottom-left corner.

In the Goal drawer, you can now link Projects directly to your key results.

Why does it matter? This feature simplifies connecting your strategy with the work that needs to be done. The [Link] option in key results now includes a new extension to link to a selected Project. Similarly, the Projects drawer now features a dedicated section for linking key results.

Folders in Documents now maintain their expanded or collapsed state when you return to the module.

Why does it matter? This feature saves you a few clicks and reduces unnecessary hassle. Additionally, when you return to a long list of Documents, your view will be centered on the most recently opened Document.

Replies to Slack messages now generate comments in the corresponding Timebook Ticket.

Why does it matter? You can now capture more feedback from the Slack-Timebook integration. Timebook creates a new Ticket when a new message is sent to an integrated Slack channel. On top of that, each reply to the original message is now added as a comment to the Timebook Ticket, allowing you to track all communications.

You can now update and save data views in the To-do drawer of your Calendar.

Why does it matter? With this feature, the To-do drawer has the same capabilities as other modules when it comes to saving custom views. The changes you make to the ordering and sorting of items inside the drawer can now be saved for future use.

When linking objects to a key result, you can now search for existing objects or create new ones with a dedicated button.

Why does it matter? This feature offers more flexibility when managing key results, allowing you to create new objects as needed instead of only linking existing ones.

Opportunities received a new property that you can use to link OSTs to them.

Why does it matter? Since Opportunities are key to every Opportunity-Solution Tree, we’ve added this new [OST] property in the Opportunity drawer to make linking easier.

We removed some elements and streamlined others to make account creation smoother.

Why does it matter? As part of this change, we hid the Space creation step and moved the preferences configuration to after the account is created. This lets you set up your Workplace faster and start using Timebook immediately.

This section lists the bugs we resolved in the latest release. These fixes should improve Timebook's performance and give you a more stable experience.

Bug
Fix description

AI assistant not working when editing blocks of text

You can now highlight text on a page and ask Timebook's AI Assistant to improve what you wrote without any issues.

Missing focus when pasting a link on a page

When you paste a link, your cursor automatically focuses on the available options. You can now use your keyboard to choose between creating a simple link or a bookmark.

Multiple comment issues

Cutting and pasting text with a comment will not cause the comment to disappear from the drawer. Also, when you resolve the last comment, it is correctly removed from the drawer.

Unable to change the status of Work Items in a newly-created Team

After creating a new Team using the [Blank] template, you can now correctly modify the [Status] property of the Work Items there.

Breadcrumbs not updated when adding a parent item

When you assign a parent item for the first time, the breadcrumb navigation on the child item's card is immediately updated.

Collaboration in the [Summary] tab in containers not working.

Multiple users can now edit the [Summary] tab in containers simultaneously.

We want your experience to shape the future of Timebook, so we are looking forward to hearing your feedback.

You can send us your ideas or report issues using the dedicated feature in Timebook. Open the [Help and Support] section at the bottom of the Navigator and select [Feedback]. Fill out and submit the resulting form, and we'll take care of the rest.

Thank you for your time.
