🆕 New features

Here, you'll find detailed information about the latest additions to Timebook. Explore them, stay updated, and make the most of Timebook.

🥇 Potential game-changers

➡️ Introducing Key Results in OSTs

When creating an Opportunity Solution Tree, you now start by selecting a Key Result that will become your OST's root element.

Why does it matter? Starting an Opportunity Solution Tree (OST) with a Key Result ensures that the discovery process is aligned with a specific outcome. This helps teams stay grounded in their strategic objectives, ensuring that the Opportunities and Solutions they explore contribute to achieving meaningful results.

➡️ A new selector for defining Goals' scope

Goal cards are now enhanced with a selector that lets you assign the Goal to the entire Workplace or a specific Team.

Why does it matter? This enhancement means greater flexibility and clarity in Goal-setting. By assigning a Goal to either the entire Workplace or a specific Team, you can ensure that each Goal is aligned with the appropriate scope and audience. Additionally, we have improved the handling of sub-items across the app. It means you can now turn existing items into sub-items, including making a Team Goal a sub-item of a Workplace Goal.

➡️ 2-D Chart joins the data layout family

We have added a new layout that helps you map out items using two axes. You can define which item properties to visualize on each axis.

Why does it matter? The new layout provides a powerful way to visualize and analyze data to gain deeper insights into your items. By allowing you to map items across two customizable axes, you can explore relationships that might not be immediately obvious. This flexibility in visualization results in better decision-making and prioritization.

🥈 Notable additions

➡️ Template Center enhancement

We have added the ability to create Workplace-wide templates for pages.

Why does it matter? Previously, you could use existing page templates to streamline your documentation. Now, you can also create templates available to all Workplace members and tailored to specific needs.

➡️ Enhancing Solutions with Assumptions

When managing a Solution, you can now create Assumptions as sub-items to this Solution.

Why does it matter? Creating Assumptions as sub-items within a Solution allows you to capture the underlying beliefs that drive your product decisions. This helps you articulate the hypotheses that need to be tested, ensuring that your exploration of Solutions is not based on guesswork.

➡️ Project assignment for parent and sub-items

When you add a sub-item to a parent item assigned to a Project, the sub-item will automatically be assigned to the same Project.

Why does it matter? By automatically linking sub-items to the Project of their parent items, you can focus more on meaningful work and less on administrative details. This consistency should help you maintain a clear structure within your Projects.

➡️ Timebook plugin authentication in Figma

We have finalized the authentication flow for the Timebook plugin in Figma.

Why does it matter? This enhancement simplifies access, making it easier for you to integrate Timebook's capabilities directly within Figma. With a smooth authentication process, you can quickly start aligning your design work with Timebook's Work Items.
