Potential game-changers

Introducing Strategy Roadmaps

The Roadmap family in Timebook now has a new member: Strategy Roadmap.

Why does it matter? This feature adds to the Timebook's collection of tools for high-level product management. The Strategy Roadmap can help you visualize and manage your Goals on a timeline. Display your Goals side by side to compare their expected duration and possible dependencies. You will find the Strategy Roadmap, along with other Roadmap types, in the dedicated module in the Navigator.

We added the [OSTs] module to Teams allowing you to create Opportunity-Solution Trees.

Why does it matter? This feature helps you map out your Opportunity-Solution process. Start with a key result, attach Opportunities to it, and then link Solutions to these Opportunities. You can even go down a level and attach Experiments (a new object type) to a Solution to test it. There are more options coming to the [OSTs] module, so stay tuned.

You can now add inline comments in descriptions or summaries of various objects and containers.

Why does it matter? Until recently, you could add comments only to entire objects or containers. Now, you can comment on specific text within [Description] fields or [Summary] tabs across Timebook. To add a comment, highlight the desired text and select the [Comment] option from the context menu. Inline comments are easily spotted by their underlining highlight; click on it to see the details.

We refreshed the look and feel of the Notes tab in the Personal module.

Why does it matter? Notes serve as a personal space where you organize your thoughts and create quick references for later use. Therefore, the [Notes] module deserved better usability and a cleaner design. You can now enjoy a more responsive middle pane and editing options nearly identical to those in Documents.

In the Team Updates module, you can now enter your new message directly.

Why does it matter? This is one of these features that save you a few clicks every day. When you open the [Updates] module in your Team, the cursor is automatically focused on the text field, so you can start typing immediately.

The [Space] key now triggers an AI prompt when starting a new block of text.

Why does it matter? When editing written content, you can instantly activate our AI Assistant by pressing the [Space] key. This opens a dedicated field for typing your prompt. This feature works only when starting a new paragraph; otherwise, the key inserts a space as usual.

This section lists the bugs we resolved in the latest release. These fixes should improve Timebook's performance and give you a more stable experience.

Bug
Fix description

Can't reschedule a calendar event with a drag-and-drop

In the Calendar module, you can now reschedule events with a drag-and-drop, and the calendar will update correctly.

Incorrect calculation of Initiatives on a Goal card

The key result section of a Goal card now shows the correct values for completed initiatives and the total number of Initiatives.

Initiative is unlinked from key results after its status changes

If you change the status of an Initiative, it doesn't affect any of the key results that this Initiative was linked to. The Initiative remains visible in the key result section of Goal cards.

App freezing when filtering files by tags

You can now safely filter your Timebook files, and it won't affect the app's performance.

The [Back] button not working in Documents

The [Back] button in your browser (or the Electron version of the app) now correctly takes you back to the previous screen, even when in the Documents module.

Can't add tags to certain objects on mobile devices

You can now add tags to Work Items and Documents when using Timebook on mobile devices.

Multiple issues with user experience

Our Teams recently spent extra time working on fixing all the inconsistencies and small usability issues to ensure a better overall experience for new Timebook users.

We want your experience to shape the future of Timebook, so we are looking forward to hearing your feedback.

You can send us your ideas or report issues using the dedicated feature in Timebook. Open the [Help and Support] section at the bottom of the Navigator and select [Feedback]. Fill out and submit the resulting form, and we'll take care of the rest.

Thank you for your time.
