Although not fully developed, this release's key enhancement is the Timebook-Figma integration through a dedicated plugin. We also added new item properties to help you evaluate Opportunities with less effort. Additionally, we made several improvements to the "Links" section on item cards.
This is a summary of all the improvements in this release. Use the links below to jump to specific entries, or scroll down to read about all the changes.
Here, you'll find detailed information about the latest additions to Timebook. Explore them, stay updated, and make the most of Timebook.
We added three new properties to Opportunities for easier evaluation.
Why does it matter? You can now define an Opportunity's [Importance] and [Satisfaction], and we will automatically calculate its [Opportunity Score]. This feature will boost the decision-making process, helping product managers focus on high-impact areas with the most potential for improvement.
We improved the design and usability of the [Links] section of the Work Item cards.
Why does it matter? All attachments and links will now live in one dedicated section of a Work Item card. You can use shortcuts in this area to quickly create links to Timebook Documents, Figma, or Loom. And you still have the option to attach files from Timebook storage, Google Drive, or your device.
We improved the process of managing your Opportunities using the [Tree] layout.
Why does it matter? We replaced the [+] icons with icons that hint at the object type you can create at a specific level. This way, you don't have to remember what objects you are allowed to add at what level. This feature should result in a quicker management of Opportunities in Timebook.
We added the [Projects] module at the Workplace level.
Why does it matter? You now have one central location to view and manage all Projects created across all Teams in your Workplace. We also slightly redesigned this module to make it look and feel consistent with other Workplace-level modules.
We redesigned the [Fields] section of view management with buttons replacing toggles.
Why does it matter? The new design saves you some scrolling, as buttons occupy less vertical space. To test the new buttons, open the [View management] section when managing your items and select the [Table layout].
We started building a dedicated Timebook plugin that you will be able to use in Figma.
Why does it matter? The plugin will connect Figma objects with selected Work Items in Timebook, automatically adding Figma links to the corresponding Work Item card. Additionally, to simplify designers' workflow, pressing a linked Timebook Work Item in our Figma plugin will center the screen on the associated Figma object.
This section lists the bugs we resolved in the latest release. These fixes should improve Timebook's performance and give you a more stable experience.
Can't group by status in newly created Teams
You can now use the [Status] option without any issues when grouping or filtering items in a newly created Team.
Work Item grouping not refreshing when changing criteria
After you select a different grouping option, all Work Items will now automatically move to their respective groups.
Project view incorrectly applied in all other Teams
If you create a specific data view in a [Projects] tab of one Team, it is no longer replicated in the [Projects] tab of all other Teams.
The empty state in Notes is inconsistent with other empty states
The empty state in the [Notes] module (before you add your first note there) now looks similar to empty states in other modules.
Double notification when being removed as a Partner
If you were assigned as a Partner to a Team and someone revokes your access, you will now receive a single notification.
Wrong "/" menu behavior when collaborating on a Document
Opening the options menu with the "/" key will no longer close the menu for other users actively working on the document."
We want your experience to shape the future of Timebook, so we are looking forward to hearing your feedback.
You can send us your ideas or report issues using the dedicated feature in Timebook. Open the [Help and Support] section at the bottom of the Navigator and select [Feedback]. Fill out and submit the resulting form, and we'll take care of the rest.
Thank you for your time.
