New features

Here, you'll find detailed information about the latest additions to Timebook. Explore them, stay updated, and make the most of Timebook.

Potential game-changers

Unified inline links for multiple objects

You can now create inline links to Document and Wiki pages, events, Work Items, Sprints, Projects, and Roadmaps—all with a unified design.

Why does it matter? This update makes linking across Timebook much more consistent and user-friendly. With a unified design for inline links, it’s now easier to visually identify different object types and connect your work seamlessly. Whether referencing a page or connecting to a Project, the consistent format adds to the user experience.

You can now duplicate and delete Work Items directly from within a Project using the [...] menu next to each Work Item.

Why does it matter? This feature simplifies managing Work Items within Projects by making common actions like duplication and deletion easily accessible. It ensures that managing or adjusting your project work is efficient, and you are not forced to switch views.

Several object types, such as Work Items and Goals, have received new properties: [Created by] and [Date created].

Why does it matter? These new properties provide more transparency and context for your work. Knowing who created an object and when helps you track progress and understand the history behind each object. It also provides a clear point of reference, making it easier to request further information from the original creator.

You can now use inline emojis in text-editing fields across Timebook. Just start with ":" and type to see a list of available emojis.

Why does it matter? Adding emojis directly within text-editing fields provides a more expressive way to communicate in Timebook. Whether you’re leaving a comment or updating a description, emojis help make your messages more engaging, convey tone, and add a personal touch.

When opening links to containers like Projects, Initiatives, and OSTs, the target container now opens in a new tab.

Why does it matter? This enhancement improves navigation by allowing you to open key containers without losing your current context. You can keep your work in progress while referencing different Projects, Initiatives, or OSTs, reducing the need for back-and-forth navigation.

When managing your containers, such as Sprints or Projects, you can now collapse sections in their drawers.

Why does it matter? This feature gives you more control over how you view information in container drawers, making it easier to focus on what matters most. By collapsing sections that aren’t immediately needed, you can reduce clutter and streamline your view.

The Tree layout now features a dotted background to provide a cleaner backdrop for the objects presented.

Why does it matter? The new dotted background improves the visual clarity of the Tree layout, making objects stand out more effectively. It’s a small visual tweak that has a big impact on how clearly and comfortably you can work within the Tree layout.

This section lists the bugs we resolved in the latest release. These fixes should improve Timebook's performance and give you a more stable experience.

Each property in the Project drawer is now displayed only once.

Missing toast message when trying to restore Teams over the limit

When restoring a Team would take the number of Teams above your plan's limit, you will now see a toast message signalling that the Team won't be restored.
