In this release, we've made assigning Work Items to Projects simpler by allowing access to the complete list of Projects, regardless of the Team. The drag-and-drop mechanism in the Navigator has also been enhanced, improving the overall experience of rearranging pinned items and Teams. These changes are part of our broader efforts to streamline Work Item management and navigation, making the app more intuitive and efficient.
This is a summary of all the improvements in this release. Use the links below to jump to specific entries, or scroll down to read about all the changes.
Here, you'll find detailed information about the latest additions to Timebook. Explore them, stay updated, and make the most of Timebook.
When assigning a Work Item to a Project, you now see the complete list of Projects to choose from.
Why does it matter? You are no longer limited to the current Team's Projects when assigning Work Items—you can now select any Project from your Workplace. If you choose a Project that isn’t currently linked to the Team your Work Item belongs to, you will receive a prompt asking if you want to link the Team to the Project first.
We have enhanced the mechanism of moving objects in the Navigator.
Why does it matter? This update is part of a broader initiative to improve drag-and-drop functionality across Timebook. You can now experience a smoother performance when rearranging items in your [Pinned items] list or reordering Teams in their dedicated section in the Navigator.
We have added the [Project] selector to the Work Item creation modal
Why does it matter? Adding this selector to the Work Item creation modal makes it easier to directly associate new Work Items with a Project during creation. This saves time by avoiding extra steps later on and ensures that all Work Items are correctly organized from the start.
If you use a link to an object that is no longer accessible, we will notify you via a dedicated toast message.
Why does it matter? This enhancement ensures you are immediately notified when an object is no longer available, reducing confusion and saving time. It provides a clear indication, allowing you to adjust your actions quickly.
We have changed the order of tabs on Project cards.
Why does it matter? The [Summary] tab is now first, followed by [Work] and [Updates]. With this approach, you can focus on descriptions and the bigger picture before diving into work-related details.
This section lists the bugs we resolved in the latest release. These fixes should improve Timebook's performance and give you a more stable experience.
Multiple drag-and-drop issues
You can now drag and drop items in the Board, Table, and List layouts without any performance issues.
Can't access linked Goals using the dedicated section in the drawer
You can now correctly access Goals using the [Linked Goals] section in Projects, Initiatives, and OSTs.
Unresponsive icons in properties
When you edit item properties, both the icon and the input field are now responsive.
Can't archive a Team
You can now correctly archive a Team without seeing the "Ooops" screen.
Disappearing ore truncated Team name
When you reduce the screen size, the Team name is always displayed in full.
Empty Document list
When you move between the Document modules of two Teams, the list of Documents is now correctly rendered every time.
We want your experience to shape the future of Timebook, so we are looking forward to hearing your feedback.
You can send us your ideas or report issues using the dedicated feature in Timebook. Open the [Help and Support] section at the bottom of the Navigator and select [Feedback]. Fill out and submit the resulting form, and we'll take care of the rest.
Thank you for your time.
