New year, new improvements: Quality-of-life upgrades for Timebook

Happy New Year!

While this isn’t your typical issue of Release Notes, we’re kicking off the year with a summary of some user-focused updates we’ve delivered recently. These aren’t flashy overhauls or groundbreaking features—instead, they’re the small but impactful changes that make your everyday experience in Timebook smoother.

From streamlining workflows to improving app responsiveness and clarity, these quality-of-life upgrades touch nearly every corner of the platform. Whether you’re exploring new modules, organizing your work, or simply navigating the app, these updates are here to make your Timebook journey a little easier.

Here’s the full breakdown of what’s new and improved:

Update
Why does it matter?

We’ve added an AI Writing Assistant to the "About" module in Teams

It will help you draft and refine the content on your Team’s introductory page with less effort.

Interviews now automatically load all Insights after generating them

This eliminates the need for page reloads, giving you immediate access to valuable information.

We’ve added new empty states and fixed some of the existing ones across the app

These improvements make onboarding easier and help you understand features more intuitively.

The global search for Work Items now displays item types in the results

Searching your work data is easier as you can quickly identify and focus on items of specific types.

Key Results now update automatically in the Tree layout

You can edit Key Results and see real-time changes without having to refresh the page.

Key Results progress now copies the start value to the current value if left blank

This removes an extra step, making setup quicker and calculations accurate by default.

You can now create a Product object directly during Team creation

This improvement simplifies setup, letting you configure Teams and workflows in one step.

Interviews and Insights modules can now be enabled during Team creation

You can start working with the right tools from the beginning without additional setup.

The "Solutions" section on Opportunity cards now appears above "Related"

This change prioritizes actionable content, helping you manage the discovery process more efficiently.

File sorting now supports ascending and descending ordering

With this improvement, you can now organize your files with more accuracy.

Containers like Projects and Sprints now adapt more effectively to narrow screens

You can now work more comfortably across devices, regardless of screen size.

Comment style in Work Items now matches the "Updates" tab comments

This provides a unified look and feel and reduces distractions across the app.

Bullet list styling now supports indentation.

This new feature improves readability and makes detailed lists easier to understand.

We’ve removed some rarely used tabs from the Notifications module

Notification noise and clutter are reduced, helping you focus on important updates.

We want your experience to shape the future of Timebook, so we are looking forward to hearing your feedback.

You can send us your ideas or report issues using the dedicated feature in Timebook. Open the [Help and Support] section at the bottom of the Navigator and select [Feedback]. Fill out and submit the resulting form, and we'll take care of the rest.

Thank you for your time.
